Build a Voltage Regulator 12v to 24v using 7812

How to build a voltage regulator 12v to 24v using 7812. What many people do not know is it possible for a voltage regulator IC to provide an output voltage higher than its actual value. One method to achieve this is by connecting the "common" terminal to the middle point of a potential divider, but the problem with this method is that the regulators IC has a small quiescent current (~ 10 mA) flowing out the common terminal to ground.

The circuit presented here avoids the problems of using the IC regulator to raise the voltage via the transistor Q1 to generate a low impedance to the common terminal video controller during the transfer of the voltage divider from a resistor divider network relatively high. The value of R3 is not critical, but should be low enough to accept the higher quiescent current without causing problems for T1.

Build a Period To Voltage Converter Circuit Diagram

this is the simple Period To Voltage Converter Circuit Diagram. The input signal drives ICD. Because ICD`s positive input (V+) is slightly offset to + 0.1 V, its steady state output will be around +13 V. This voltage is sent to ICC through D2, setting ICC`s output to +13 V. Therefore, point D is cut off by Dl, and CI is charged by the current source.

Assuming the initial voltage on CI is zero, the maximum voltage (^Cinax) is given by: When the input goes from low to high, a narrow positive pulse is generated at point A. This pulse becomes -13 V at point B, which cuts off D2. ICC`s V+ voltage becomes zero.

The charge on CI will be absorbed by ICC on in a short time. The time constant of C2 and R5 determines the discharge period— about 10 /is. ICB is a buffer whose gain is equal to (R& + R9)~Rg = lM5. ICD`s average voltage will be (1362f 1.545) + 2 = 1052/. RIO and C3 smooth the sawtooth waveform to a dc output.

Build a Simple Audio Amplifier 2800W Circuit Diagram

How to Build a Simple Audio Amplifier 2800W Circuit Diagram. This is a Mono high power amplifier is actually a powerful 1400 W, but if this high power amplifier circuit is doubled and you want to create stereo, high power amplifier the necessary components and pcb requires two-fold. So if the stereo high power amplifier 2 X 1400W. Schematic Circuit diagram is still less by looking at the circuit that was so below, the finished circuit has been added with a gains using JRC4558 IC by the two and the picture ic where it can be seen below.

For circuit buffers, drivers, and booster use multiple transistors and other components (can be seen listed component). And high power amplifier project that is so below is just part of the buffer and driver while the booster has not been made. For additional transistors in the booster or high power amplifier end scheme can be found Booster output power amplifier.

Build a 1 2 36V 5A Adjustable Power Supply with LM317

Build a 1.2-36V 5A Adjustable Power Supply circuit diagram with LM317. This circuit is a simple power supply circuit. 1.2 - 36V adjustable bench power supply with 5A of output current. Max input voltage is 37V and output is adjustable via potentiometer between 1.2 up to 36 volts. TIP147 PNP darlington transistor boosts the current of LM317 from 100mA to 5A. LM317 is the most useful and inexpensive adjustable regulator and for this circuit you can also use LM317 L that can give 100mA, thats enough for transistor bias.

 D1 and D2 are protection diodes because when you turn the circuit off the output capacitors are discharging and can damage the transistor or regulator. 100nf capacitors are in parallel with electrolytic capacitors to remove high frequency noise because large value electrolytic have large ESR and ESL and cant remove high frequency noise.

A Simple Function Generator

Simple triangle-wave generators have a weakness in that the waveform of their output signal normally cannot be modified. The circuit presented here makes it possible to smoothly alter the waveform of a linearly rising and steeply trailing saw-tooth signal through a symmetrical triangle-wave to a slowly trailing, steeply rising linear sawtooth. The wanted waveform may be selected independently of the frequency, which can also be varied uniformly from 0.2 Hz to 8 kHz. At the same time, a rectangular signal with variable duty cycle (also independent of frequency) is available at the rectangular-signal output of the circuit.

Simple_Function_Generator_Circuit_Diagram1
The circuit consists of integrator IC1b, whose output is applied to comparator IC1c. The output of the comparator is a rectangular signal The output of IC1b is raised by amplifier IC1d to a level that allows the full output voltage range of the operational amplifier to be used. Op amp IC1a provides a stable virtual earth, whose level is set to half the supply voltage with P1. The smooth setting of the frequency is made possible by feedback of part of the output of the comparator to the input of the integrator via P2. This preset is usually not provided in standard triangle-wave generators. Network D1-R1-D2-R2-P3 makes it possible to give integrator capacitor C3 different charging and discharge times.

This arrangement enables the output signal at A1 and the duty cycle of the rectangular wave signal at A2 to be varied. Varying the amplification factor with P5 has no effect on the frequency set with P2. The slope of the signal edges, the transient responses, and the output voltage range (rail-to-rail or with some voltage drop) depend on the type of op amp used. The TL084 used in the prototype offers a good compromise between price and meeting the wanted parameters. The circuit is best built on a small piece of prototyping board. The circuit draws a current of not more than 12 mA.

Brief parameters:
Provides triangle-wave, sawtooth or rectangular signal
Waveform variable independently of frequency (triangle wave and sawtooth)
Duty cycle of rectangular signal can be set independently of frequency
Applications:
Test and measurement
Pulse-width control
Summary of preset action:
P1 – sets virtual earth to a level equal to Ucc/2;
P2 – sets the frequency;
P3– sets the waveform;
P4 – sets the hysteresis of the comparator (frequency and amplitude of the triangle-wave signal)
P5 – sets the amplification of the triangle-wave and sawtooth signals.

Open Garage Door Using A Smartphone

You do almost anything with your mobile phone, but when it comes to your garage door, you have to resort to another remote control. This garage door opener does not require the installation of an application and it works with any phone that has a web browser built-in. The system is based on the tux-graphics Ethernet board. The circuit diagram has external connections, relay and optional connection to switch to sense the state of the door. The relay contacts are then to be connected in parallel to the wall mounted push buttons inside your garage. They mounted the Ethernet board on a small piece of wood together with some screw-on terminations for the cables.

Basic Components for a Home Theater

Many people never bother looking into purchasing a home theater through sheer fear of the decisions that may need to be made in the process. Many among these aren’t even sure of exactly which components are included in a home theater or which ones are needed in order to create an effective and entertaining home theater. For this reason, many people simply do not bother going through the process of looking at their options when it comes to these wonderful systems on the market today much less ever bother actually purchasing one.

Basic Components for a Home Theater
Basic Components for a Home Theater
If you are one of the many who has experienced some degree of confusion when it comes to the individual parts and pieces that are included in a home theater system and what they do, hopefully you will gain a better understanding once you’ve finished reading. The first thing to understand is that there are varying degrees when it comes to home theaters. The following components are the makings of a very basic home theater that will provide excellent functionality. They are not however inclusive of every possible piece or part that could make up a home theater system.

Speaker Setup
Speaker Setup
Off to the basics, the first thing you’ll need when creating a home theater for your family to enjoy is a television. It might seem a little too obvious to some but I have yet to find a box kit that includes a television—mainly because the choice of screen is for many the most personal aspect of selecting a home theater. There are essentially three choices in today’s television market: front projector, rear projector, and plasma. There are variations within each of these and the prices fall anywhere from modest to quite costly. This is the component that most home theater owners spend the most time contemplating and it affects the types of components that will be most effective later on in terms of things such as high definition and other choices you can make.

A receiver is another important component. You will probably have a DVD player or recorder of some sort as part of your system; you may have a Tivo and cable box or satellite and will probably have speakers of some sort for your system. The receiver is the box you plug them all into—it receives all of this inputs and correlates it so to speak. This is the ultimate traffic director when it comes to your home theater and I suggest you spend a good portion of your home theater budget making sure that this is a good quality part.

Speakers are where your sound will flow. One of the best things to me about a home theater is the ability to experience surround sound very similar to what I experience in theaters while having the ability to put my feet up or snuggle under blankets (which simply can’t be achieved in a theater). Speakers come in all shapes and sizes and are also quite personal for some consumers while give and take for others. You can purchase these are part of a kit in order to make the selection process easier.

Finally, you have your DVD player or recorder. If high definition is important to you, you now have that option. If your television isn’t HD ready or capable, I’d pass and go for an older (less expensive) model of DVD player until something more up-to-date is called for. These items are a great start for any home theater and you can build, expand, and upgrade over time for an even better system. Enjoy!
